ENTRY GUIDELINES
Strange Beauty accepts works of any shape or form with running times of 30 minutes or less. The only requirement is that the work be strangely beautiful and/or beautifully strange. We are looking for stuff that strikes a chord, has an emotional impact, makes us think. If you feel your movie fits the bill, it probably does. We can't wait to see it.
A completed entry form and an entry fee of $10.00 must accompany each work submitted. You must send us a clearly labeled NTSC Region 1 or Region 0 DVD of the work.
If your film is selected for the festival we will contact you about images and press kits.
ENTRY FEE
$10.00 per entry, postmarked by December 15, 2010. Entry fees must be in U.S. funds only. We will not extend the deadline, so get your entry in early!
PAYMENT
Strange Beauty ONLY accepts PayPal or well-concealed cash. Click the "Pay Now" button at the bottom of this page to make your payment online. Dont' forget to download and send in the entry form.
AWARDS
There are no official awards, though we'll have baubles of some kind for all filmmakers who come to the fest.

NOTIFICATION
We will notify all filmmakers by e-mail. If accepted, the exhibition copy of your work will need to be in our hands by February 1, 2011.
DATES
Strange Beauty will be held February 17-19, 2011, in Durham, North Carolina.
EXHIBITION
Strange Beauty can show DVCAM, mini DV, 16mm, super 8, and SD or HD QuickTime file.
SHIPPING
Cost of shipping exhibition prints and tapes to the festival is the responsibility of the entrant. Exhibition copies must be sent to the festival prepaid. All film reels, cans, videotapes and cases must be labeled with the title of the entry. The festival will cover return shipping via FedEx or US Mail. The entrant or the recipient must pay additional charges for express shipping or transshipments to foreign film festivals. The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit. Please use only plastic or bubble pack envelopes when shipping entries. PLEASE DO NOT USE FIBER-FILLED ENVELOPES--EVER!
